A repair kit to replace a shoe’s sole, extend its lifespan, and reduce water use in shoe production.
A new pair of shoes takes almost 2,300 gallons of water to produce. New soles? Only around 55. The Vans Sole Repair Kit extends the life of a Vans shoe by focusing on sole repair. This means that people can avoid buying as many new pairs of shoes as they currently do, saving water in the process. If just 100 pairs of shoes have their soles repaired, and as many new pairs of shoes are not purchased, the savings would amount to 224,500 gallons of water.
